We want to share our roadmap for some of the items we're working on in the current quarter. We'll keep posting updates to our product roadmap on the blog. I'd recommend that you keep checking back here.
Big changes coming for the interface
While the existing HostedScan interface has done well for some time now, it's time to grow into our next phase. You may have already noticed changes to our website when coming to hostedscan.com, including new logos, colors and typography, and greatly improved layouts.
We've started rolling these changes into the application itself, recently launching a new navigation. We'll be rolling out changes to all the existing pages in the application. To give a preview, here's a look at the new styling for the dashboard:

And here is a preview of what the Risks table is going look like:

We'll be rolling out incremental updates to the application design in the weeks ahead. With this, we're setting the stage for a large swath of features to cover greatly expanded risk management and vulnerability scanning.
CVSS and OWASP Top 10
Our scanners have more pertinent metadata we plan to surface in the application. OWASP Zap reports OWASP Top 10 issues, and OpenVAS reports CVSS scores which we will be surfacing throughout the interface and in our reports. Further down the pipeline, we will be incorporating additional information that OpenVAS detects about scanned targets to provide a better understanding of your assets.
Read-only Role
A highly requested feature is the ability to add read-only users to your organization. We've been working on developing our role based authorization system, and will be rolling out with a read-only role very soon. We're also enhancing our authorization system to support more granular roles, potentially with options for customer customization.
Integration, Integrations and More Integrations
We have recently rolled out more integrations including sourcing targets from Microsoft's Azure Cloud, centralizing risk information from both GitHub's Dependabot and Snyk, as well as integrating our HostedScan bot with Slack.
We will continue to introduce more integrations, including integrations into Jira, Microsoft DevOps, and Trello. Some of these may be coming in later quarters, but we have lots to do here.
Performance Improvements
We've noticed that as some organizations have grown very large, some of the tables and graphs have become sluggish, impacting the application experience. We have a number of behind the scenes improvements to things like the risks table, the graphs on the dashboard, and other pages to improve the speed and responsiveness of the application. This should make those pages much faster for organizations both big and small.
Future Grand Plans
We have big plans coming down later this year, but until we formalize them, I don't want to give too much away. These include long requested features that we feel are necessary given our growth, and some are new ways to make vulnerability and risk management easier. Keep checking back for updates on this blog to find out!
