The HostedScan platform brings together a suite of different vulnerability scanners. On their own, each scanner requires deep knowledge to set up, maintain, and interface with. The HostedScan API provides a powerful and simple way to run all of these scanners and manage the results. Our team did a full pass over the documentation to get the small details right: required fields are marked, descriptions are clearer, and error responses are documented. We also added a few fields and endpoints that were missing. Getting these details right is what makes an API pleasant to work with, and that's the experience we want developers to have with HostedScan.
Vulnerability Scanning Agent Skills
We've published two agent skills: the HostedScan API skill and the HostedScan troubleshooting skill.
Use the API skill to give your agents vulnerability scanning capabilities. It interfaces through the HostedScan REST API to create targets, start scans, schedule scans, get scan results, generate reports, and more.
Use the troubleshooting skill to diagnose and solve problems with your vulnerability scans. For example, scans that seem stuck, unreachable targets, cached or missing results, and authenticated-scan failures. As a reminder, our support team is always available to assist with scanning issues as well.
